Above that line the chest is covered in sheer illusion mesh that says nothing at all; below it the velvet begins. One shoulder carries a close-fitting velvet sleeve to the wrist, where the beading gathers again; the other shoulder lets a panel of sheer mesh fall free. A same-fabric velvet sash closes at the natural waist and knots at one hip, from which a draped over-panel falls the length of the skirt, its edge traced by a fine satin piping. The skirt holds close from waist to knee, then opens in a single continuous panel and releases into a short train at the floor.
